Budweiser is an American-style pale ale and it’s one of the most sold beers in the United States. The beer was founded over 140 years ago by Carl Conrad & Co. of St. Louis, Missouri. The beer is distributed globally, but due to a trademark dispute the famous American beer can only be marketed as “Bud” in the European Union (except in Ireland, Sweden, Finland and Spain). The first few versions of the Budweiser logo were very ornate and complex, featuring a coat of arms with two wide ribbons coming out of it. This style was phased out in 1952 for a less complex and minimalist design. The current Budweiser logo is composed of only two elements, a red bow-tie with a white cursive inscription.
