Sprite is a transparent, lemon and lime-flavoured soda created by the Coca-Cola company. It was originally developed in 1959 in West Germany as “Clear Lemon Fanta” and was introduced in the US under the name “Sprite” just two years later. Sprite comes in a variety of flavors, such as: cranberry, cherry, grape, orange, and vanilla. The Sprite logo started off fairly simple. The logo consisted of the “Sprite” wordmark, written in green lettering, sitting on a white background. The dot on the “I” was replaced with a lime-colored star. Even though their first logo got replaced fairly fast, the idea of a simple logo remained and can be seen in the present logo. The current Sprite logo features a six-angled, lime-colored badge, and inside it you can find the “Sprite” wordmark.
